The lambs are growing well. The fleeces this year look really nice overall, there are lots of interesting patterns and they have nice horns.
Andromeda’s lambs are really pretty. Fritza is mouflon/gray. We still aren’t sure if she’s spotted or moorit. Her coloring is sort of confusing. I think it could just be lots of flashing and phaeo coloring and she’s probably just straightforward black gray mouflon. Her sister is probably homozygous gray and has been showing really good parasite resistance.
Modi has a black gray ewe lamb and a black mouflon ram lamb. I’m probalby going to wether the ram. Our yearling ram is his full brother and we don’t need another ram. Little Diva has sort of bulgy eyes which gives her a cute sort of look. Her wool looks good and Modi is one of my meatier looking ewes.
Sock’s two mouflon ewes by Grizz are growing the fastest of any of the lambs. Socks is an excellent mother so that helps. They are a little different from her ewes from last year. BOth have really nice fleece and seem to have wider horns than last year.
Tansy’s lambs are our oldest. Her white horned lambs was wethered early and has a really feminine looks, with small horns. He has wonderful fleeces though. Her ewe lamb is our only polled lamb this year and also our only moorit. Her fleece is not the softest, but is a wonderful red/brown color and she’s growing well.
