Today, March 1, we had two more purebred Jacob lambs born. I got home form work and they were almost dry, fed and getting tired already. They are a bit smaller than the first lambs, but their mother is a two year old and this is her first time having twins, but she’s doing great with them. Cotton is a different looking sort of Jacob ewe. She has funny horns and really long coarser wool, but I like her calm temperament.
The ram lamb seems to have his horns coming in close together and isn’t as nicely built as Hazel’s lamb, but the ewe looks pretty nice so far. They look so small compared to my others who are about a week old now.
